Cerulean Hydrangea : Photowork pour The Green Gallery n°15

Serenade in blue

We’re celebrating the beautiful cerulean Hydrangea. This year she’s striving to be bold yet elegant, fierce but not sweet and outspoken instead of lovely…

Cerulean reflection

The lovely Hydrangea reminds us of clear blue summer skies. Looking up to the sky, blue is the only colour we can see, but this heavenly cerulean contains a huge treasure. It has all colours of the rainbow in it, hidden for the human eye… Sky blue is known as a symbol of unlimited possibilities and freedom. It creates space and stands for protection and inner surrender. Sounds like the safety and freedom we are all so desperately longing for. “At a time when algorithms to a major impact, it is important to be inspired by nature and man”, predicts Lidewij Edelkoort for spring 2020. And she’s right. Slowly we are becoming aware of the fact that we have to follow new ways and beyond all we have to trust in them to be inspiring and full of wonders.

CHERIE CHERIE

Ethereal – The Green Gallery (n°14)

Floral enlightenment

We’re awaiting an ethereal spring with fluffy bouquets and airy florals, like see-through blooming explosions drifting on delicate waving stems_______.

Transparent bouquets

Guided by this growing love for nature and all that’s within it, we start new matching trends. Spring has never before looked so delicate and pale. Airy clouds made of large floating flowers are popping up everywhere. We see elegant spring grasses dance on their delicate waving stems. Huge but almost transparent fuzzy bouquets give us the impression that they float above our beautiful decorated dinner tables – filled with healthy food in beautiful natural colours.

Platycerium : Photowork pour The Green Gallery n°12

The T-Rex of plants

Gigantic and indestructible our beloved staghorn has survived the green dino-age effortlessly. It provides safety, protecting your private green sanctuary with their strong green fingers________.

The exotic Platycerium, or staghorn fern, has always aroused great curiosity because of its unusual shape and elephantlike texture. That’s why many ancient cultures regarded this striking Australian plant and its natural life as sacred. According to English traditions the H and L form of the staghornleaf symbolically refers to the H of Holy, and the L of the Lord. Used as doorknocker man even believed to be protected against evil. Talked to, and with a little imagination, the staghorn can also be compared with a reliable priest taking your confession. Its always there when you need it, and listens without judgement. With its strong and firm elephant skin, it is not easily impressed. Not by extreme conditions nor brutal confessions.
