Pretty sweet and proud Protea

Protea is the perfect bipolar flower with her prickly cubistic shape contrasting her sugar sweet taste and lovely vulnerable colour palette. Her hairy pointy bracts protect her sweet heart as a soft shield. She lives happily in her perfect pink bubble, protected from insects and the evil outside world_______.

Aesthetic idyll

Please make place for bright rebellion blending and a summer of love… We are all striving for visual floral optimism in a fight-or-flight era these days. We pursue aesthetic idyll by controlling our minds, bodies and nature with liberal ideas reacting on a world in chaos. And we’re all dreaming of a magical perfect world; an idyllic flower garden over the horizon, almost forgetting to enjoy the flowers that are blooming outside our windows today.

Carnation

Like a Greek beauty, thought lost and now resurrected. The carnation with its serrated, fringed and sometimes striped petals is like a curvaceous Goddess. The essence of everything that is feminine. In an era when we are embracing ancient symbolism, it can return to the spotlight with its corset-like calyx and feathery petals_______.

Divine flower

Greek Goddesses serve as a contemporary role model for young and older women.. Age is viewed as beauty again, and that explains why Greek mythology has become the source of inspiration. How appropriate that the carnation’s botanical name ‘Dianthus’ is also derived from ‘dios’, which means ‘god’. The divine flowers a symbol for silent resistance and revolution. Sexy old is the new good. In a time when we are embracing the symbolism of age, in which we like old furniture and fabrics and come to realise how beautiful an old person is, ‘young at heart’ is becoming the new rule. This is also evidenced by the revolutionary timeline of the 85-year-old Instagrammer @Baddiewinkle (‘stealing your man since 1928’) With its notched, serrated, fringed, coloured and sometimes striped petals and tubular calyx the carnation is equally idiosyncratic. Its exterior betrays its inner youthfulness. With a daring design and refined colour nuances it is an exceptionally welcome dissonance when it comes to beauty and inspiration.

Le fragile lathyrus est un symbole moderne de courage, d’amitié et de vertu. En ces temps d’incertitude, de misogynie et de glissement des pouvoirs, le pois de senteur suit sa propre voie en toute innocence. Une « guerrière » dont la coquetterie et la fragilité légendaire n’est pas sans rappeler la beauté sensuelle de la femme_______.

Fragile soldat de la paix

Tout comme les millions de femmes qui donnent de la voix face aux velléités du président américain Donald Trump qui veut restreindre leurs droits, comme le plus incompétent des jardiniers. Le pois de senteur habillé en fragile soldat de la paix rappelle inévitablement les gigantesques « marches féminines ». L’emblématique féministe Gloria Steinem (82) prononça ces paroles historiques : « This is the upside of the downside; an outpouring of democracy like I’ve never seen in my very long life. »
